Helleborus by lstasel

Helleborus

Not a great day for photography. I cleaned my sensor with a pre-moistened sensor swab, it must have dried out a little and left streaks all over the sensor. Glad I only took a couple shots before I noticed.

This is a focus stack of two exposures. The flower is shot at f/40 and the background is f/3.3. This allowed me to blur the streaks that were showing in the background. It turned out better than I expected.

Recleaned the sensor tonight. Can't see any streaks, will have to test it tomorrow in the daylight to make sure.
Beautiful! Love the details in the flower.

Beautiful! Wonderful focus stack. That is on my bucket list of things to learn how to do. Now, after seeing the wonderful detail you captured, I really want to learn how to do this.

@daisy Thanks Kathryn. It is really a modified focus stack since I only used two exposures, one for the background and one for the flower. For a true focus stack I probably should have 3-4 different focus points on the flower. But for a first try I am happy with the way it turned out, especially since I did all of the blending by hand.
