@ltodd Thanks Lyn. Yes, squirrels do bite when they get scared. I have five that eat out of my bird feeders but I would never try to hand feed them. You can see people hand feeding them on the college campuses but it has taken years for them to become acclimated to people.
I have an ongoing pest problem with possums nesting in my garage - they may look very cute, but they smell terribly and have very viscous large strong claws if cornered.
@ltodd Does not sound fun. We have possums in the area but most of our neighbors have dogs and we also have coyotes roaming the area after dark.
