This poster is hanging on one of the local antique stores. I wonder what was supposed to be on the right side. The Al G. Barnes Circus ran from 1898 to 1938. It was bought by American Circus Corportation in 1929 and sold later the same year to Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus.
That's an intriguing little mystery. The banner goes over the blank part so it almost looks like it was meant to be left blank. Maybe that's where they posted the dates of the time they were going to be in different towns...if it was a travelling circus.
