The last rose ...... by ludwigsdiana

The last rose ......

that I picked this year. I have had to cut them all down, it saddens me that I will not have anymore. Some have died due to the drought and I hope the rest will survive till Spring.
The detail in this rose is beautiful. Roses are remarkably strong plants and I believe you'll see them again next spring.

What a shame... Is it Ice Berg... Lets hope that with cutting them back they can concentrate on just surviving ...love the pink tinge...

I don't know what you do but I water my roses at least once a week (a good soaking) to keep them going in our hot Summer - till now they have always survived. Pity to lose a rose bush after years of caring.

So hopeful your roses will survive. Extreme pruning seems to help Roses be stronger. I’m so sorry about your drought situation. This is a beautiful photo, such beautiful roses!

How sad the drought has effected them. They are so beautiful, will it be long before they return?

Really a lovely flower. I agree with the others that cutting them back may just save them.

@suzanne234 If we get our winter rains which should start in May or June, they will Suzanne, otherwise not. I have 50 Iceberg's, or which 6 have already died. :-(
