graceful in their departing. ooh i didn't realise there was an eotb challenge going on - thank you! very glad to see you are still entering challenges :)
When I saw your picture, my first reaction was to wonder why you had not made it b&w on a black background, because colour did not seem to play such an important role, whereas lines and texture did. So, I have tried to process your picture that way and I realize I was completely wrong : your white over white original is much better because there are actually a lot of subtil variations in the colours (not just in the levels of grey) and also because the diagonal going up in the background balances the shape of the foreground subject. It is really well done, and I do not regret to have spent half an hour on it because I have enjoyed it and I have learnt something.
I was just looking at the TT and saw this photo. Since I am not on 365 as often, I sometimes miss some incredible photos. I love the textures and the light. Well deserved to be on the TT.
Congratulations for making the shortlist for the EOTB challenge.
This was an easy pick tbh because it is just such a beautiful image. Although its glory days may have passed, the colours, light and composition of your image highlight its beauty and elegance, even in decline. Its well-deserved place on theTT shows how many other people were touched by the beauty of the image, too.
