I had to paint it red for the challenge,

as we do not have red windmills here. I found it very difficult to achieve the look of the artist.

amazing red here - You can use GIMP to select a colour (select tool) then recolour it a different colour (paint fill), and gradually do that for the full object shading to match - not that I've done it since my first 365, so would have to teach myself again.
