taken from Ken Forrester winery. About two weeks ago there was a controlled fire which got out of control and burnt a huge patch which one can clearly see. The wine farmers burn the old clippings of the vines. I hope that it will be better controlled this time.
Oh dear, we have the same problem here sometimes. Controlled burns that get out of control. They always seem to pick a hot day or a windy day too to control burns. Makes you wonder what they are thinking.
I’m not sure what our wineries do with their clippings. I know we have a law to prevent burning rice fields. That produced such sticky smoke that we had to cover our bike seats with shower caps when I was in college. Love how the mountain is framed by the tree branch and the green vineyard.
