Remhoogte by ludwigsdiana

Remhoogte

another wine estate on the steep slopes of Simonsberg which was founded in 1812. Remhhoogte is Dutch for "brake Heights". It seem that the ox carts had difficulty getting up there.
The history starts with the discovery of one of the largest diamonds ever found. It was prchased by the Queen of England and is firmly set in her crown.
Lovely capture!!

The Great Star of Africa. Worth around $400 million today if the Queen ever decided to sell it to help pay the rent.
