My first attempt at B&W

I am not really a fan of b&w, but winter has set in and everything looks so dark, I thought I might give it a try.

there are joys and woes of black and white and it all depends on one's eye and perspective. here, i imagine the many colours and my eyes would be busy looking at everything. but here, the clouds are really so dramatic and ominous which are a complete contrast to the scenery below. next to that dramatic sky, i love the dividing line of the trees. this is an awesome photo and black and white makes it more so. big aces to you!

This was really a perfect scene for black and white. I'm like you, I have trouble deciding what looks good in monochrome. I love these awesome clouds.
