I could not believe my eyes

watching this weaver rip the lovely nest apart. I noticed it when we left for gym.Coming back two hours later, all that was left was a little shred of grass, I am not sure if it was a female who did not approve of the new home, or a disgruntled male.
Fabulous spotting and series showing her distruction

Maybe he just wanted to relocate or got a new job and had to move. Or maybe it was an rv nest and it was time to move on. Very interesting and great photos!

That is very interesting. Great series of shots. I am thing a disgruntled competing male. Although I do love all the theories. Smile. Do the females have the bright yellow coloring?

I just had to Google this. I found a very interesting article: https://www.tandfonline.com it said the make builds multiple nests at a time and has several female companions. It appears he also randomly completely destroys some of all of the nests for no apparent reason. I think further studies are being done.
