He looks a bit like a conductor of a symphony orchestra. The cormorant's feathers absorb water, so it dries its spread wings.

@cordulaamann @haskar he was flapping and jumping around for about half an hour! I stood there in disbelief as his wings were dry and there was not another bird in sight :-)
