Brutus ad Nala. They were brought to the sanctuary when the only zoo in the Western Cape closed in 2012.
Nala gave birth to three cubs whilst living here in December 2015. It was a great surprise, as Brutus had been sterilized in 2011. She kept her cubs so well hidden for ten days, that the staff were not aware of them. The three daughters are living with them in the enclosure.
There was quite a bit of fence that had to be removed ;-)
@casablanca They are very rare and are not albinos. They have a recessive gene which both partners must have to breed white cubs. There are currently less that 13 white Lions in the world.
