until summertime when Katja comes back. We learnt a lot about these wonderful animals. As you can see, those horns are covered with hair. When they fight after all this knocking of heads, the hair wears off. Some of the giraffes had no hair on the top part of their horns anymore.
@shepherdmanswife Tkanks for the inquiry. Katja is our daughter who lives in London. The first week of December she came here for her annual 3 week holiday. Due to covid it ended up being eight months, home office from here. There were no flights going back to London and others were very complicated. Obviously we were out and about quite a lot, therefore these albums are for her as a memory. She is happily back in London since last month :-)
