A new Mum by ludwigsdiana

A new Mum

I have been watching the Dikkops behind our fence in the olive grove now for the last few weeks. As she has not moved her position, I am sure she is sitting on newborn chicks.
I will be posting their development here this month.
Nature is wonderful. A new mum loves so much of her baby.

@rensala thanks for the tip Renee, do the photos not need to be taken daily? Some of these shots I took last week already :-)

@narayani @dutchothotmailcom @k9photo They do not have nests as such. They choose a comfortable spot on the ground under an olive tree as stay there. Yes, they are very vulnerable there ;-(

A great capture and focus to show her beautiful markings. Do keep us posted, Diana! Fav
