Floodwaters

This is the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas, TX. Normally, you'll see recreation trails and roads under the bridge. In fact, I think it's the only trail that actually crosses the Trinity River without being raised on a bridge. If you see water at all, it's a puddle here or there and you might be lucky if you can get a reflection of the arch in the puddle. But with all the rains we have had this year, almost all Texas lakes are full or overflowing and the Trinity River is flowing over.

There's a lot wrong with this shot but I've edited in LR and used a preset to try and bring something out of it.
Look at all those trees . I wonder if it will recede in time so they don't die? What a beautiful bridge.

I thought we had our fair share of rain, until I saw this photograph.

I've wondered whether you were in that part of Texas that has been getting all the rain and storm warnings these last two weeks. Wonderful shot (I prefer this color version, too) that really shows the extent of the flooding. We've had flood warnings on and off for the last week - more to come by the weekend.

Looks like such a beautiful spot, in spite of the flooding.
