This geyser erupts every 35-120 minutes and they can predict the next eruption +/- 10 minutes. We watched it twice yesterday morning but mainly saw only the steam as it was so cold outside. We went back this afternoon about 12:30 (perfect timing) and we could see the water actually shooting up.
It was cold outside in August? We were there near the 4th of July many years ago and a storm caused the temps to drop from the mid-70s into the high 30 in just a few minutes. It was crazy. Great shot of Old Faithful! Yellowstone is one of our favorite parks.
