Texas Cowboy by lynne5477

Texas Cowboy

Working on our Photo Club' next topic of "Weathered". How does this one work? Should I edit it differently? Crop differently? Suspenders too bright?
Any suggestions or comments are most welcome.
Grear photo. Portrait shots are something that terrify me,so im not really good at advice but I do think if you darkened the suspenders a bit it would draw your eyes more to his face.

I think it's a great capture. If you want to play in photoshop maybe add wrinkles to give the face a more rugged look. And, I think it would be fun to use selective coloring on the neck scarf.

I like it a lot Lynne

If you are tweaking, perhaps the suspender on the left is brighter than the right and there is some brightness behind his head. I like the photo.

Excellent...very effective in your processing. I agree about darkening the suspenders a bit, but otherwise I think it is awesome.

Seeing a b&w portrait like this makes me want to try this - love it! Such nice focus on his eyes. I agree a little darkening of the suspenders might enhance the face, but that's it. It's great.

I made some tweaks per your suggestions. If you have time, would love to know what you think of it now. It's in my B&W album here: http://365project.org/lynne5477/black-and-white

It feels a bit tight to me -- with the hat going over the edges. I think the face looks great.
