Not An April Fool's Joke

Well lucky me (not), I just got picked for jury duty this morning so I will be spending the rest of today and tomorrow sitting in those cream colored chairs listening to a court case. I took this after the judge dismissed us for lunch.
I love jury duty so I say lucky you. At least you get to sit in a very pretty courtroom!

I took a photo very similar to the daffodils you took yesterday sitting in front of my kitchen window. I loved the softness reflected in the window in your photo and when I looked at my tulips on a sunny day they looked so similar to yours. It may be my post for today - please don't be offended.

Jury duty can be very interesting if it wasn't such an interruption to ones day. Hopefully it will be over soon.

When I had jury duty, they made it a fun experience, waiting to be called. Jokes every day and like a party atmosphere. People played games but I sat and meditated while I knitted and knitted. Didn't get called. Figured the meditating calmed everyone down.

Oh how interesting. Hope you enjoy the experience. Nice shot of an empty courtroom, not many of us get to see this.

The color scheme is fasicinatingly disturbing (the reds and purples are just overwhelming). Nice photo.

Jury duty is an important part of society and an upstanding member of society and our(photo) community will mean a valued opinion and view, I hope you find the case interesting!

Ever-the-photographer, I'm glad you had a camera to record the event! Strictly from a decorating standpoint, I think they might have gone with a neutral-color carpet to set off the lovely stained glass windows...

I hope you have an interesting experience. I've always wanted to have this opportunity.

Are those quilt blocks on the wall? Or are they stained glass windows? Pretty, whatever they are.

@tahoemb They are old stained glass windows that were in the courthouse but had been covered up by remodeling projects. A few years ago they were framed and hung in the courtroom with lights behind them.

It's quite an attractive room, so that's one consolation

Wonderful picture. I have been selected to show up for possible jury duty on April 9.

You did very well to get this shot. I sat for three days once only to be sent home, very frustrating. I think it would be interesting! Good luck, hope it doesn't drag out too long!

Bummer, but you made nice use of your time - nice shot.

Yikes, hope all goes well. Doesn't look like a place where you would like to spend a lot of time.

Oh my goodness! Hopefully it won't be a long trial!

Such a pretty court room. Hope all goes well. I went last year for the first time and ended up finding it really interesting.

I, too, hope it is an interesting case and that your days pass quickly. I also have to agree that there is a lot going on in this picture - many different colors, styles, etc. Very distracting, lol. Hope you can concentrate on the case!

I have always wanted to be picked for jury duty, but have never been called up! Maybe there is something shady in my past that I don't remember. Too many speeding tickets maybe :)

@triciakano Tricia, I would never be offended about any photo you post! Even if your shot was similar, I wouldn't think anything about it... we are here to inspire each other! I would love to see your flowers sitting in front of the window. I'm pretty sure your shot would look different than mine anyway... no two ever seem to look just alike. I hope you post it!

Great diary shot! Hope it will be interesting at least!

@ Thanks Lynn and I'm sorry but I ended up choosing a different photo for today and since I'm not an ace member I won't be able to post the picture.
