One of my favorite flowers. :) Such pretty composition, and nice muted tones in the background. Your bleeding heart seems to be blooming a little bit ahead of ours? Although ours seemed to grow quite early this year, the flowers still need to grow and unfurl. Do you mind if I ask, were you able to achieve the softer, muted tones in the background through aperture alone, or did you use a lens/extension tubes? I so enjoy your soft backdrops, but have yet to be able to achieve the same with my photos. I wish I could!!! How are you able to achieve that effect? :)
@gratefulness Sandi, I think it's my camera and lenses that give the blurry backgrounds. I couldn't get this focus and muted backgrounds that I wanted until I FINALLY got the Canon 70D. I have a Tamron macro lens that I usually use for flowers.
We also have a bleeding heart in our back yard that is just now getting blooms on it. This one in the pic is planted in a more sunny area.
