That cold chill of fear at the sound of the tape deck chewing up your favourite cassette....
Painstakingly untangling, winding, praying....
Some of our younger members will never know the struggle, or the relationship between these two items :P
For this weeks' 52 week challenge theme -
'Story: Forgotten.
Abandoned was a very popular week in the original challenge. For the advanced challenge tell the story of something forgotten.'

OMGosh - yep! And how about hovering over your recorder to hit play and record to record your favorite songs on the radio and hope the DJ didn't talk over it lol
Oh absolutely to both stories! I bet the young are wondering what a pencils got to do with it!! @not_left_handed Great composition and focus. A great idea for the theme.
Oh! I do remember. In fact, I just bought a tape player so my granddaughter could enjoy all the story tapes my children enjoyed. I bought a new one as I had a tape get caught in an old player, and had to resort to some of this untangling, though not as extreme as this. Fun!
@dorsethelen@not_left_handed@onewing@Cherrill@ingajohansson@janemartin@lyndamcg@aecasey@annika82 LOL waiting all day for your song to come on and then the DJ cuts in over the end of it to say the news is coming up next... What's even funnier is that in order to make this pic, I disembowelled the ony existing recording of a good friends' pirate radio show from the 90's, and then had the whole cold sweats experience trying to wind it all back in again :P
