Thx for you nice comments. If you ever want a photo of this duck or any that you think wold suit for a subject to paint I am happy to send to you. I think the colors on the mallard came out very nicely. Like you, crazy person, I am heading back to the lake to see if I can take more time and use my tripod to get another nice photo. So many types of duck and there are ice sculptures formed on the beaches by the waves. I like being a bet "off" if I can take a nice photo. Anytime you want to take a trip over and go to the zoo, the lake, etc you are welcome and I am sure my photo friends and I would be happy to show you the sights.
