Keeping it together. by maggie2

Keeping it together.

This church is a beautiful structure, but has had it's problems.
All around the top, are cables to secure it. It looks like part of the building is still in use. I would love to look inside.

Thanks everyone for all the very kind words on my pictures. I do appreciate them.
Love the perspective and the gray stone against the blue sky!

It's a beautiful building...like a castle. Reminds me of how some of the cathedrals in Europe have wire mesh keeping parts together. Really gorgeous photo!

neat angle! they dont look very heavy duty but they dont detract from the building too much either.
March 26th, 2011
I like the angle. It looks like it would be very nice inside, too.

It's beautiful stone work, but it makes you a bit suspicious that the cables may be holding it together.

love the color of the building against the sky...the angle is great

Beautiful stonework! Beautiful textured neutrals against a lovely blue sky---Great pic!
March 26th, 2011
Nice - a little scary that it's held together by cables! :)
March 26th, 2011
Looks dangerous! I like the angle, hope it gets restored to it's formal glory.
March 26th, 2011
This is a beautiful shot! It's interesting that they wrapped cables around the structure to hold it together. I'm not sure that will keep it from crumbling!
March 26th, 2011
I like the perspective. And the gray and blue is so nice together.
March 26th, 2011

March 26th, 2011
Ah, I love old architecture and design.. this building has strength and character and you have managed to capture both.. Thanks for not tossing us old things aside without a second look.. beautiful picture!
March 26th, 2011
Absolutely beautiful!
March 26th, 2011
I like this angle you captured. The cross and trees look really nice against that blue sky. The cables look like you could just cut through them like you do to unwrap those plastic ties around boxes.
March 27th, 2011
What a beautiful sky! I hope the stone work can be restored. The opposite roof has a pretty ornament too.
March 27th, 2011
Great exture, perspective, and composition! Brilliant shot!
March 27th, 2011

March 27th, 2011
Nicely composed photo. Great colors. The poor buidling looks liked it is all tied up.
March 27th, 2011
Would be great if you could record the interior of that building with your camera ... I hope you have the opportunity and share it ...

@oselleso I would love to. I have never seen anyone in this building. It's near my doctors office. It's an Episcopal church and seems to still be in use, at least part of it. If I get in, I will post pictures.
