I love the changing of the seasons, but I wouldn't mind a little more summer.

I'm sad summer is coming to an end, it feels like we haven't even had much of one, this has brightened up my day though, I love the colours :)

Nice shot. Love the color. Summer in South Florida seems never ending. I guess the grass is always greener somewhere else. When I start seeing pics of snow, I appreciate the weather here, but for now it is hot hot hot.

@babedol23 Annie, these are Japanese Lanterns. They grow on a green plant that travels by the roots.

Don`t worry. That house stands for more than 300 years and will stand. The owners ( and government ) takes good care of it.

Beautiful picture. I love Chinese lanterns..I had some growing in my garden until they took over. used them for decorations. at one time I put them in a tall vase..looked really good.

@julie Chinese or Japanese Lanterns. They grow on a plant that spreads like mad. I have them all over. They are used in flower displays.
