My neighbor has these whatevers planted around her mailbox. I'm so glad they plant flowers for me to take pictures of. :-) I'd like to think some year I will develop a green thumb and have a yard full of flowers, but I won't hold my breath on that one.
We call that lovely flower `stokroos`= Stick-roses . The Latin name is Althaea rosea. very beautiful capture and close up and color
We have very unsettled weather with many sowers and temperature much to low . But it`s free of charge so I don`t complain.
I have heard on the news of the heat wave in the States Feel so sorry for victems
So you're like me..I admire my neighbor's flowers and always take p[ictures of them and then send the photo to her via e-mail. she has lovely flowers when you consider that 2 years aga when she move into her first home from an apartment she didn't know anything about gardening..helpful Hans and Bruni came to the rescue.you might no have a green thumb but you have a nice finger for clicking a beautiful picture.
@pyrrhula It's very dry in New York, but not life threatening. The gardens suffer if you can't water them from your well. Thank you for telling me the names in your language...I love that.
Beautiful colours and capture :) Nice textures in the petals too. I have similar neighbours - no green thumb here, so I have to rely on people who can actually grow flowers for my pics :)
What beautiful hollyhocks ...perfect pov of these lovely old-fashioned flowers! I feel the same way about the "geen thumb!" I thank my lucky stars for the great parks around this town for the gorgeous flowers that I get to see and shoot!
Nicely framed on the side in this shot, I like that a lot. Crisp focus, well done. By the time you plant your own flower garden you'll know all the names of everything, LOL
