The reverence of the children's faces caught me. The tiny chickens were given to hold and the children were so proud. They held the chickens firmly but softly and learnt about them as they did. At the North Otago A & P show in Oamaru. There were more photos including one of the terriers racing after a dead rabbit being dragged along behind a tractor but I liked this one better
Oh my gosh, Look at the teacher's face - very calm and solid; and then the sweet face of the little boy with someone's hand on his shoulder.....he has a sweet, compassionate and gentle look on his face while he handles that sweet little chick! I've said this so many times that the word "awesome" is over used but I'm using it now! AWESOME PIC!
This just sums up the experience so well. The faces and focus directed to caring for these tiny, fragile, wriggly babies. The little girl is so intent as she cradles her chick. A lovely shot!
