Calves under the hammer!

The annual calf fair held in Oamaru this morning attracted a large crowd of potential buyers. The calves were mooing all night in their pens - we could hear them from our place! Shoved this way and that, prodded with long sticks and finally off to new pastures!

Great capture. Never been to a livestock auction but I do enjoy going to regular auctions every now and then. Thanks for the insight into how one looks.
