Trickie Woo To the Rescue! by maggiemae

Trickie Woo To the Rescue!

This dear little dog, I met on a walkway around the lagoon in Auckland. Her owner was a bit concerned with a guy who looked as if he was shadowing her! I asked if I could take a photo and she was so grateful as she was concerned of this potential stalker! I said, follow me and we will be OK... later she got in her car and was off with a wave! I stopped to take a lovely photo of the lagoon and here comes, Red Shirt who stopped when he saw me and sat in a nearby swing and swung! Off I went but found he was right behind me! I shot off behind a bush and turned around, found a 'iPod connected" young man and said that Red Shirt was following me. He was happy to accompany me to a point where I could see Red Shirt had lost the plot! So dear little Pekinese and one camera stopped what might have been world news!
Oh my , how scary would that have been... !!!!!!!!

I like your processing and the yellow highlight.

nice canine portrait; be careful when you are out there

Thankfully you are both alright. It can be scary out there. In spite of Red shirt, you got a great photo.

Wow what a story - sounds scary! A lovely capture - so sweet!

I am so glad so you are all ok! Maybe it will be better if you report it to the local police so that they can keep an eye on the stalker.

LOVE the photo, Maggiemae. But that "adventure with red shirt" is a bit scary. All I can say is that you maybe shouldn't be alone in certain areas? Or at least carry a cell phone or have some nearby place that you can go to. I am so glad that hubby is with me at times ... and in other places I feel more safe when there are alot of people around.

That's frightening, Maggiemae! What a creepy thing to happen! Great photo of this pretty dog but, be careful!!! There are way too many perverts and criminals in the world today!

That is so scary!! I'm glad you're alright...

@brinneydee Hi Brittany, thanks for your comment! I have found that the more I comment and remark on other's photos, the more friends you can make! You get to know each other even if hundreds of miles apart!

Yikes glad you are okay! Lovely shot of this pooch! Like the way you processed it too!!!

I like the tones: almost overexposed, but looks great

How scary, Maggiemae. So glad you are ok. Love the photo you took of this dog and how you processed it. Be careful when you are out there. Take care.

@darsphotos @annbo @cindymc @db4 Thanks for the care you sent me! It is so nice to have that! I did have my phone and my camera! Someone said I should have taken a photo of him but I did think that he might get mad and come at me to grab it!

@wannabe I don't particularly like pekes but this one was a nice one and so was it's owner!

@marlboromaam @karenann Karen and Mags - its nice that you are considering my safety. Thanks! I did feel I could karate him into the lake if need be but that would have spoilt my photo!
May 3rd, 2012
Nice shot! Did you get some pics of the red shirt guy? I would have had to, to show them to authorities. My husband usually goes with me when I go on photo shoots and sits somewhere to wait on me. I feel safe that way.

@grannysue Yes, Linda, my hubby normally is in the car but not when I go walking! Still have the mobile and my really careful eye!
May 3rd, 2012
@maggiemae I would be careful that way, too. Would need much stealth.
May 3rd, 2012
@db4 I think I can relate to 'stealth" Its such a good word!
May 3rd, 2012
@maggiemae Agreed!
May 3rd, 2012
Lovely story Miss Marple, so glad you're safe :)
May 3rd, 2012
Glad to know you survived this 'encounter' unscathed (and Mr Herriot loves your title!)
May 3rd, 2012
@lornareid Thought perhaps someone would recognise the name! Thanks Lorna!
May 3rd, 2012
@riversdale I didn't solve the mystery - just ran away from it!
May 3rd, 2012
Might not have solved the mystery Maggiemae - but there are definitely times when you should run away - glad all is well ...lovely dog!!

This little doggy is a true 'rescue dog'....things could have gone very pear shaped, if not for a bit of divine intervention.

Wow! It all happens in Auckland doesn't it?

We call my Mum's spaniel Tricky Woo because he is so spoilt.
