A contingent of classic American cars came to Oamaru overnight from points north. I stood at the side of the road and snapped them as they went past. I like this one for the old house in the background. The car is probably a mustang?
Yes it is a Mustang. My husband drives one....a little newer than this one. He imported it from the USA to Australia at great cost, had it changed from left to right hand drive and up until 6 months ago it was the only one in Australia. Now there is another in our tiny little town....he wishes they would leave!
Yes, that's a Mustang, alright! Reminds me of my daughter's 1st car back in the 80s that only lasted two days. She totaled it trying to avoid an armadillo in the middle of the road. Fortunately she was OK! My son has a newer one at this time & he loves it. Interesting find and great photo!
@northy I found out about this trip from the local paper and rang the motel where they were staying to find out when they were leaving for a ride around the area. Hubby and I went out in 5deg to wait for them in our car on the main highway!
