Upped the EV by maggiemae

Upped the EV

This made a lovely picture with these two ducks in a shallow pond! Must remember what I did besides the EV - it was on manual but there are many different programs.
I came away from this place with the nasty bot that so many people have had! Now in bed, sniffing something that seems to have morphine in it to stop the spasms! My day has been delightful in looking at your lives all over the world - I don't need to say anything because that involves a lot of coughing! 365 you Rock!
Awesome

How those blues & turquoise stand out & I like the way the colour is concentrated in a couple of places only!

Pretty capture!

Whatever you did, great result Maggie.

So cool!

Very nice, Maggiemae. Love the spot of blue.

The processing gives it a very interesting color- I like it and could see it as an artsy kind of note card.

cool image here - love the over saturation

great editing

Vee
Very nicely composed!

Nice shot.

Interesting composition - is the sun to your left or in front of the ducks? That would explain the lack of colour on left of photo. The colour in the ducks and the water reeds makes the shot.

Whatever you did...I like it.
October 18th, 2012
i have the same problem, worked well for you whatever it was.

Neat shot Maggie

Brilliant lighting

@doblaine the sun was in front of the ducks, David. Do you think I should have included a bit of colour on the left to balance it? Appreciate your imput!

Lyn
absolutely beautiful - good for you for upping the EV!! I'm always afraid to go in that direction.
October 18th, 2012
I like the effect of whatever you did. This photo reminds me of an acrylic painting.

As you can see from the comments - we love what you have done. Saturation and the sun's reflection have cancelled out the colour which actually highlights the ducks and the reeds. By trying to get more colour in may have reduced the impact of the final photo. For me the ducks are the stars - abley supported by the reflections and the green reeds.

@doblaine thanks David, that's what I thought too !

Ooh, I LOVE those colors you got in the ducks! The colors are so bright with the overexposure.
October 18th, 2012
@cmc1200 it's interesting that the colour of the ducks wasn't paled!
October 18th, 2012

Maggie I sympathise. I have just had a cold for nearly 4 weeks. I spent about 3days in bed at the start because I could hoping to avoid it lingering but alas even today I still have the odd coughing fit. Take it easy. I love your ducks.
