This morning was a holiday in the area where we live being an province anniversary! The day started beautifully with sun and I took the opportunity to ride through our Public Gardens where there is a lovely red bridge. Just after this photo, I went over a pavement edge and one of those blue bags, bounced right off and landed on the road! In it was my camera and I was frightfully lucky that no car ran over it!
beautiful shot...love the light, the blue in the foreground and red in the background. I'm glad you got your bag back....reminds me of a time we took our Harley motorcycle on a bumpy, dirt road that was a bit too bumpy. Same thing, we lost our bag....came back down to find it in the middle of the road....we laughed and laughed. No one else had driven up the long winding road, so all was ok with it.
My spirits are always lifted when I think of NZ as I had a blast travelling through both islands with a friend back in the young, free and single days! I love the red bridge it looks very quaint. Glad yr camera made it! :)

@megmills My hubby has just bought an old Velocette and now we have to get kitted up! I'm in my 70's and he is almost 80! Aren't we mad! Hope we don't drop our bags from this bike!
Wow! That is a beautiful scene you've captured! The blue bike and red bridge add interest and the leading line of the path draws the eye into the frame!

So beautiful, it's lovely to see sunny and colourful images from around the world on here as our weather is so grim and grey at the moment. ... Love the winding path and the nonchalant abandonment of your bike!
You were so lucky Maggiemae but what a gorgeous ride, we have forgotten what green looks like over here!!! A great pop of red in the distance, love to see folks bikes...I think we should all take pictures of our own bikes!!
