This is the new cabinet that arrived early this morning in the pouring rain. Dried it out and put it together and finally found the switch for the lights on top. I had great delight in putting all our glassware and special crockery in behind the curved glass windows! The exquisite little antique teacups and saucers have never had a home.
Three good things:
1. More room in the pantry where theses articles were stored for over 2 years.
2. It was a maximum of 6degC (42.8degF) today but our fire kept us warm all day.
3. I discovered some old school photos and scanned them for publication on the Old Friends site. Also an old wedding photo of a niece in 1988 which provoked a heap of comments!
Doesn't this look splendid magggiemae....all that beautiful glass in it's own home. The lights look very welcoming & add a sparkle to the whole cabinet....how on earth did you manage with out it!!!
This is such a beautiful cabinet, Maggiemae. I love the lights in it. I have wanted something to display our special things for years. I love reading your three things. Such different weather there than here where it is so hot.
