at my place with the Book Club. There were only a few of us, most being overseas at this time. We discussed a celebrated NZ author Witi Ihimaera who wrote Whale Rider, now in a film. Also Katie Fforde and Maurice Shadbolt.
Three good things;
1. Looking at the three deepest lakes in the World - Lake Baikal in Russia is the deepest but our Lake Hauroko in NZ is second!
2. I value all my friends opinions on 365.
3. Nibbles all evening for tea.
What a wonderful book club you must have Maggie! I joined one at the library.... we certainly don't have anything like this to enjoy whilst discussing books!
You entertained them regally maggiemae sounds a lovely afternoon! one of the bonuses on 365 has been the book recommendations & I have picked up some good books to read. I have seen Whale rider but not read the book.
what a great bunch of treats?
did you make them all yourself?
i am sure you had a lovely time with your bookclub friends.
i sure do enjoy reading your three good things.
Wonderful - they look delicious!
Lovely to belong to and discuss a book club - there isn't one around here - some food for thought to maybe start one......
Lol, Chris! @gooner46 If we didnt have wonderful afternoon teas there would be not much to look forward too! Most of us don't have lunch in anticipation,
oh i would love to be in a book club. i bet it is loads of fun talking about good literature! i will now need to read some of these authors. have a favorite of the 3? lovely shot of the tea. looks scrumptuous!
@judithg I just bought everything ( except the sandwiches ) and cut it up nicely and put it on this cake stand that I won for getting an item published in a magazine! Easy peasy, Judith!
Delicious arrangement. I'll have to look up your author. I'm in a book club too and we are taking two months summer break. Each free to read what we want at this time.
