The sun was shining straight on to these daffodils so I thought I would capture the moment as the clouds are going to gather with a forecast of rain. I meant to have only the flowers but on looking at the scene, decided to keep the edge of the magazine in to show the arrangement was on the table.
Three good things:
1. Its still early in the day so No 1 hasn't happened yet.
2. Been round the world in 365 and got my first photographer in India!
3. Its Friday!
I love this Maggiemae, the lighting is gorgeous and the visibility of the magazine edge adds a touch of informality which I like. Fav! It will be many months before daffodils are in bloom here again, nice to see this reminder of what we have to look forward to. One of the things I love about 365 is the way it increases and enhances my awareness of the changing seasons.
Feels really strange for me to be seeing daffodils in August - the wonders of Internet and sharing photos worldwide in an instant. What a simply stunning shade of yellow they are - very uplifting :-)
beautiful lighting and capture Maggiemae fav , its cloudy in the Uk with forecast of rain as well i believe out of the two days over the weekend Sunday is going to be better
Such a beautiful shot, Maggiemae. Love the way the sun shines on the daffodils and you were right to keep the magazine in this photo, also love your vase. Hope you are ok after hearing about the earthquake in NZ. Take care.
@yonnie can't believe it, Yvonne! First for me! I did notice too that a lot of friends were on there too! Talented lot of people, I follow including you!
Nearly missed your shot for today........Daffodils are the most welcome of all the flowers I think. All the lovely long summer days ahead & you have such a short winter too. Great light & the touch of the magazine looks so inviting...just short of a mug of tea!!!
