Road closed by maggiemae

Road closed

After the drama of the aeroplane being diverted to Auckland because of storm weather and our final result of actually achieving a bedroom by 3.30am, we continued our flight to Christchurch and flew over the top of all the bad weather.

However on retrieving our car we found numerous roads closed due to huge trees falling! This was only a couple here but we saw actually hundreds of uprooted huge trees and lines down on the way. Planes were late all over the country but appeared to get places safely - good pilots employed here!

Three good things:
1. Finally home safe!
2. Only wind damage was a chair blown off the verandah.
3. John called this another adventure and I agree!
Mr. Man would have liked these adventures too am sure! Glad you're home safe and sound.....
