From the motorbike event in Invercargill we travelled up the centre of the a South as land to a place at the bottom of a huge lake called Wakitipu- actually not at the bottom but beside the lower arm of the lake! A place called Kingston. Our holiday home was right beside the lake and this was a jetty just a bit further on! The lake has very steep sided mountains on either side.
Three good things:
1 finally come back into the world of Internet - not the date here but several days later.
2 took loads of photos of course! The bird ones ratchet but scenery is just lovely around here!
3 it is so quiet here you can hear the skylarks!
Your crystal clear waters are always some memory I take back home maggiemae......the first time we saw turquoise rushing clear water at Rakaia Gorge was amazing.
How wonderful to swim in these waters!! Just lovely.
Lovely. Kingston is a sweet place. My nana used to take me there on the Kingston Flyer sometimes when it stopped at Balfour. They did day trips to Kingston and I guess all the way back down to Invercargill sometimes.
This is so beautiful with such vibrant colours! I went on the Kingston Flyer through the most stunning scenery! Your photos make me want to do the trip again!
