Oamaru harbour on a Sunday morning. The sky was grey and the sea had that white look. The outgoing tide lapped at my toes while I took this picture.
Three good things:
1. Going through all my 365 friends, sad to see some favourite people have stopped posting but good to see so many continuing.
2. John cut the hedge and it looks beautifully level!
3. Bought two huge cheese scones at the Farmer's Market and are about to demolish them!
Really great shot viewed large. Then I could see the car tire "bumpers" on the sides of the harbor/dock area. Is the tide always this low? Or do those boats sit way up there at level with the top walk at times? And if there is no walkway, they just have to get in a tender of some sorts to come ashore? This is a fascinating view of a type of place I don't see a whole lot.
this looks cold and bleak somehow... like something i'd see here in winter... hope it's warmer than this picture makes it feel! i do like it tho - the colours on the boats against the blown out water really make this image pop!
@northy and i both living in toronto and the city still experiencing a fierce pre-winter cold, this photo does look rather chilly, and the water looks like snow!
