The 1860's Coaching Inn where we spent Christmas Day. A large lounge with huge armchairs and a roaring fire when outside it was cold and raining! Surrounded by trees and beside a swiftly flowing river, it was supreme!
Three good things:
1. I didn't have to cook the delectable turkey (or do the dishes)
2. Almost read a whole book!
3. Amusing seeing the ladies around were reading books and the men were playing on their devices!
Sounds an idyllic day ! How wonderful Maggie , not having to lift a finger to cook the dinner or wash up !! I can just visualize the lovely scene -- Enjoy !
Next yoer I am coming to you maggiemae...I am sick of cooking turkey. This looks so delightful I am green with envy...sounds very civilised & restful!! A beautiful house with a warm welcoming feel about it.
