I've been told by a 365 friend to get up at dawn and be nicely surprised! We were at this B&B at the "Venice of the South" near Ashburton in NZ and I peeked out the window at 6.20am! The house opposite on this canal had the centre window lit and a guy was standing there in the light. By the time I got my camera, he had disappeared - off stage right, I suppose!
Three good things:
1. The canal water was still after being wind ruffled the night before.
2. Delicious breakfast and good conversation was appreciated.
3. Good NZ wine the night before.
@yaorenliu What an hilarious thought, Yao - and me in my pyjamas! Its off towards the coast from Ashburton which is an hour south of Christchurch. About 100 houses there now all around the lakeside and canals!
Well, you didn't capture the mystery man...but you did capture beautiful reflections and gorgeous dawn light. I love your three good things...it sounds like you are having a wonderful time!
Excellent dawn capture surrounded by the glowing lights. I'm usually up at 4:30 but spend all my time on 365 posting and commenting for 2 or so hrs. I really think I need to take some photos around that time and see what I come up with :-)
No wonder you went for your camera then maggiemae.....you should have run faster!!!! Beautiful light & you were right to get up early....it sounds a very nice holiday destination ...not too far from home but new surroundings!
I've just had a comment from Pat Knowles who said I should be following you as you are not far from where we are! We're just setting off from Dunedin this morning and heading for Nugget point. Are you on holiday or living in NZ?
