Caught in the grass, it was barely visible - about 10mm long. There was a lot of leaf banging under the bushes yesterday - bird were upheaving large magnolia leaves to get at worms. I presume some of the birds lost a feather or two!
Three good things;
1. Four birds are playing soccer on the lawn.
2. I found my old transister radio - 56 years old and it still goes!
3. I also found my gem irons but didn't have golden syrup to make ginger gems!
@happypat They are solid cast iron with muffin sized spaces to drop the mixture in. You heat the irons in the oven before you do this and add a small dollop of butter so that the mixture sizzles when dropped in. Divine!
