I would like to be able to write that this was a meaningful message but not so - just an ad for a band playing locally.
Shortly after this was taken, another fierce thunderstorm hit the area.
Three good things;
1. We weren't hit by lightning!
2. Pleasant chat in the afternoon sun with a local couple who were thrilled to meet some New Zealanders.
3. Getting ready for the big pack once more!
Great capture maggiemae......you got that plane & banner in just the right spot! Those clouds are so beautifully lit....love the golden glow & that tiny black plane looking so small.
Where next I wonder?
Love this shot - we only connect the banner with the plane because of what we know, not what we see. Brave little plane to be up there with all those storm clouds around.
I'm sure that message is very meaningful for the members of the band! I love that orange cloud, the silhouette of the plane and the bird flying over xx
@maggiemae the Mississipi? New Orleans? You are seeing the world!,, no Bertha is in full swing here...rain lashing ion the window...just glad I am not crossing over to Dublin until Thursday....wild seas!
@happypat heading towards Mineappolis - in Chamberlain today. Didn't see Leana at all which is a shame though i did see two bicyclists today but thought she would be miles away by now!
@maggiemae it is a big country so would have been amazing if you had seen her! Bet you were looking all the time! Enjoy Mineappolis......I thought it was Missisipi!
P.S. Just saw the beautiful flower Gerry posted for you and read the sad news about your sister. I'm so sorry to read this. Sending prayers of comfort your way.
What a beautiful shot, Maggiemae. Love those puffy clouds, the detail you captured and color. I am glad you are not on the move every day as that is hard and so nice to enjoy a place for a bit before moving on. FAV
Another fav!!! "Big Head Tom and Parmalee" - interesting name for a band ;-) Love how you caught that expansive sky. The colors are beautiful and you nailed that sign brilliantly on that orange tinted cloud.
Where next I wonder?
