I think this is called ornithagalum - somehow I remember the odd name. But maybe I'm wrong. Its a tiny flower in a border round our house hidden in other foliage and you don't notice it till the flower pops up.
Three good things:
1. Got a new dressing gown delivered to the door - a very pretty 'chill' colour with my name embroidered in white. My old one went out in the rubbish!
2. Our Lawn mowers came in with a roar, screamed around the property and left.
3. Feeling more creative.
I read your comment on @ceilidh about Tiberius and it intrigued me so I decided to look at your site. I have been in N Z once, hope to go back, and loved S. Island. Your right about the name of the flower, they are beautiful and this is a stunning shot
