Made in NZ and extremely well designed, this is a great bike. It folds up almost in half and will fit into the boot of a car.
Three Good Things:
1. You still get some exercise as you have to peddle for the electrics to start and continue to peddle. You just go faster and with less effort.
2. I went up the Rail Trail at 15km/hr and did 12km.
3. My sunflower seeds have sprouted
@grammyn I'm one of those 'old bikers' now, Katy! Been biking since I was 8 years old and so been on the wheels now for 64 years!! Help, did I really say that!
love that your bike helps you along :) it would be great to ride to work on.......I am always put off by the long, upward climb to the city, this would solve all that :)
Great shot, love the colour and the bike sounds really useful.
About Lindisfarne - yes we did stay on the island, but not in the castle! I don't think I explained things very well. The pic I took of St Cuthbert's Island was just a tiny outcrop where he used to go to meditate, Lindisfarne itself is home to about 400 people (although I couldn't find exact numbers) Many people visit every day when the tide is out and there are a number of small hotels and B&B's on the island. It's such a magical place, and they do photographic courses there - I've put it on my Christmas list!
@psychographer Thank you Lisa - I actually put this headscarf on to keep the hair out of my face but now you have said this - it is exactly what you see bikers wear!
Well a real biker chick you are maggiemae....I love the nochantly tied scarf with the ends flowing......you could join a biker gang in that any day.
Looks a great bike too.......see how much you could see with that machine at your disposal. The summer in front of you & wheels like that......happy times! Fave from me!
Maggiemae, you look like the ultimate new-age hippie here!! :-))) Love your new bike, your helmet, your outfit, your attitude, everything!! Enjoy your new toy.....great shot!!
jealous! i can't ride a bike if it has wheels. heck, i can't even do one minute on one of those bikes in the gym! but i promised myself next spring i will definitely rent one of those three wheeler (and partner just made a howling laugh! and said better get a good insurance!). look at you, i can't believe that's your age! but then again, why won't we hide our age especially if we look as good as you!
@olivetreeann But thats the thing, Ann - the wheels are boosted by the battery and you are pulled up the hill. You can choose to go slow - speed one, or fast, speed five!
@maggiemae But I live on a MOUNTAIN- a hill would be fine! But really- I don't think a small motor would be able to pull me up the mountains here. However, it might do just fine if I put it in the back of the Subaru and take it down to the McDade Trail. Now there's an idea...
Cool selfie. Love the headscarf. This could do very well in Malta if it is strong enough to go up steep roads. We are traffic congested most of the day.
What a great photo of you and your new bike, Maggiemae. Sounds like fun to get out and about and not as difficult as a regular bike and easy to take with you. Great to have sunflowers sprouting. I love the inside of them in a green salad. FAV
Love your bandana. Gives you that roguish bikie look. They are such a good idea for the hilly bits - saw them on sale at the market here on Sunday and watched a lady trying one out - was sorely tempted. Have fun.
@yaorenliu Its got about 12 hours of battery and depending on how fast you want to go, the battery will last that time! If you want to be a Speeding Granny and go at 26k/hr, it won't last that long! If you want to be a Conservative Senior, it will last a lot longer!
