An abandoned cottage in farmland beside the biking trail that I was on. The horses look well cared for.
Three good things;
1. Lovely scenes on either side of the trail today- twinkling leaves on the long line of willows in the sun, a field of happy bulls (thank goodness), a child riding a horse in another paddock, a group getting ready to ride the trail.
2. Found the throttle on my bike and I can use that without peddling. Brrm Brmm away I go! Like a silent motorbike!
3. Gave the roses a soak and the birds flocked in - just dull ordinary birds though.
You're enjoying that bike....can your tell its electric when you look at it......I can imagine you sailing up the hills & everyone looking & saying that is one fit lady ! The world is your oyster ! Shame that house has no one to love it!
@happypat I did that the other day - where others are panting up the hill and going so slowly on the lowest gear, I sailed past this lady working in her garden and her head popped up in amazement!
Beautiful shot. Sad looking house. I think this would have been a cozy, lovely home at one time. I am glad you found that you can use just the motor and not have to peddle all of the time.
Great shot, Maggie. Love the horses in the photo. I wonder if the horses are well cared for then maybe someone tends to the cottage as well? I love the sound of a motorized bicycle! Sounds like a blast! Peddling can get tiresome!
@khawbecker Its probably the original farm house of that piece of land and there is a new house somewhere else that I didn't see. There are a lot like this around but this one is made of stone and will last. They might turn it into a holiday house as the Alps to Ocean bike trail runs right past! But I doubt it!
Sometimes I am amazed to see certain shots. I cannot understand how people just abandon a house. Perhaps it's because here we are overcrowded with people.
@sangwann I agree, Dione! Inside this house it probably be fixed with leaks and crumbling walls but maybe not be allowed to live in because of regulations!
A lovely rural scene. I don't think I could have biked past without a peek inside. This sounds like a great bike trail to do - especially in the electric way you are tackling it. :)
