Suzy's got it made! by maggiemae

Suzy's got it made!

One of my previous "good things" mentioned a wicked poem that John read out at two events recently and @summerfield asked to see it! It was an exercise trying to turn a word document into a jpg.

Three good things;
1. All my emails arrived after one day's absence
2. The party across the road didn't develop into a loud affair. There were 14 cars parked there but not on our lawn thank goodness or I would have run over it with my big lawnmower!
3. Bees are buzzing in my lavender bushes.
Love it maggiemae & I will fave it so can read it again! Beautifully illustrated too. Sometimes one thinks of these days of sperm doners & different fathers etc if this could actually come true!

@happypat I was talking to a Social Worker recently and she said the ins and outs of blended families was getting very complicated!

This could happen anywhere as my Dad was adopted by his Aunt and found out when he was 62. Oh my the things that have happened over the years. Love your poem and the photos. Glad the party was not too bad. Do they really park on peoples lawns? I have birds at the flowers of my Rosemary plant and Pineapple Sage. Cannot get a photo that is clear though. FAV

@darsphotos Your herbs sound nice - pineapple sage! I've got sage but need to be more 'sager' to get it to grow well!

Clever piece of work Maggiemae - I have a vague recollection of hearing this story as a song sometime in my misspent youth!

oh, shooting star! i didn't see this right away. i love the poem. back in the 60's there was a song popular in manila and the title became a catchword whenever some skeletons in a closet are discovered. the song was "shame and scandal in the family"; only it's a boy and not susie. here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cD6fuKeXa8U
