My day was waiting for a photo opportunity and it just didn’t happen! I looked at others - flowers, sunsets, children, seascapes and still didn’t feel inspired!
In the end after a lovely sunset ( done before), bird lolly scramble (done before) I tried to understand what effect different settings of the flash made. All learning. I am enjoying this book so much!
Three good things:
1. The word ‘dance’ got my attention first for this book! I don’t know what attracts most with books - the title - the author, the cover, the first page.
2. Discovered some chocolate is both gluten free and egg free! Lindt.
3. When you move from one place to another later in life, its nice to realise you have made a good decision!
Looks like a good book- but I have tons waiting for my attention already! I haven't been shooting since I've had so many from my trip to post. When I finally get around to shooting again, I'll have forgotten what to do!
Interesting, you did not feel inspired but your shot has given inspiration to others to read and dance - imagine someone on the other side of the world may read this book or dance on the perfect beach!
@francoise A lolly scramble for anyone is when you throw lollies (sweets) in the air and children scramble on the ground for them! With birds, it just means lots of treats out there with no perameters on how each bird should behave!
I have just bought this on my Kindle. Thanks for the recommendation - I needed a new book to read. Always have to read a bit when I go to bed. We are off to Yorkshire on Friday for a,week so it will be lovely to have a good book to relax with hopefully in the sunshine!
Don't know that book or author… would you recommend it? The cover photo looks good anyway! I just read on one of your other postings that you moved to your 'new' place 20 years ago…. it couldn't have been that late in life. See! I pay attention! :)
@yrhenwr Goodness, David - you are paying attention! The book is really a girlie book but well written. We moved from the North 20 years ago and then moved again 5 years ago. Downsized!
That is a beautiful photo......dancing in the waves.....I think I might try that this evening!! Yes, that book would attract my attention, too....did it turn out to be what you expected?!
Nice shot. Is it a good book? I love reading. It stimulates the brain. My favorite genre is horror. I haven't taken a good sunset shot or sunrise shot in ages. I have to try and wake up earlier and go out before the sun goes down every now and then.
