A word for the wise! If you are ageing as I am AND a photographer I have found two things to be vital!
Drink plenty of wine - at the right time - gives a line on creativity!
Be very careful… crossing the road to get a photo of some lambs need: -a) good shoes…. b) look left and right constantly - your neck might get quite sore!
Love those pink ears!
Three good things:
1.I have done two good things as above and got back home safely!
2.Got a haircut and once more tried for a portrait setting - will post the best.
3. A Tsunami warning for our NZ East Coast area after the so called 8.3 earthquake in Chile will be downgraded - I can bet my two cents on that!
4. Not done a “4” before but John was in the bedroom having succumbed to a cough after our railcar journey where there was a lady who coughed! We typed in communications via “messages” and I had to laugh!
Very adorable lamb.....and, her ears glow like my Karma's when the light is behind her pink ears!! :-)))) Glad you got home safely, and looking forward to your selfie! And, yes, coughs and colds are kind of side effects of being in close quarters with many people. At least you were not on a plane in a pressurized cabin!
Oh no poor little thing! It looks lost alone & dejected! Just look at the way it's gazing up forlornly.......now you have made me cry & I've had a bad enough day already!! Yes it's ears shine like littke pink strawberries, I hope mummy was nearby!
I remember a tsunami warning while staying on the Coromandal once. We walked on the beach a day after & I was really hyped up looking at the sea all the time, no one else was bothered but I was convinced we were going to get drowned! Hope John is up & about tomorrow!
@happypat If there were "3 bad things" to describe yesterday I would have done that, Pat! Couldn't start the car (forgot to put my foot on the brake), tried to use the parking function and the car just about dived into the pavement backwards, my back got really bad........! Not problems with the tsunami!
This is a very sweet capture of a very sweet little lamb, and it's a fav for me. I love the light and the twilight-coloured shadows. Glad you got back safely from your crossing-the-road adventure.
Such a sweet lamb! Enjoyed your narrative. I love your advice 'drink plenty of wine'. It's almost midnight when I'm typing this and a lovely glass of Portugese red wine is within reach ;-).
A sweet little lamb -- he looks so vulnerable and all alone Ooh ! Maggiemae you really make me smile with your narratives -- Glad you managed the road crossing without a mishap and hope John will recover quickly -- it's a pain when someone in the party shares and passes on her cold germs !!
Cute little one! Be careful with the wine and photography! Who would make us smile with 3 good things if you toppled into the grass and no one found you?!
I have what is called "essential tremors" and the doctor said I could drink wine to help calm them!! Thing is, I'm not a very good drinker and one glass of wine makes me hyper and a dare devil!!! So don't do it often but love a glass with my spaghetti!!!! Glad you crossed over and back without any trouble!!! I probably would have tried to take it home!! LOL Love his pink little glowing ears!!! FAV!
@cashew I have essential tremor too - nothing essential about it! All the food shakes off my fork in my left hand. I do find a wine stabilises my shaking but you can't have that for breakfast! I have to use the American way of using the fork in my right hand!
@maggiemae Well we should go out to eat some time!! ROFL!!! I don't use a fork any more, I use a spoon!!! I take medication that helps a lot, but not enough! The doctor told me the next step would be the "deep brain stimulation" and I said no, I'd rather chase the peas that hit the floor!! I also take a small amount of Valium which helps a lot, a beta blocker and another medication for it. I have found that I laugh a lot about it and cry a lot too. I think I would make a great bar tender!! I could shake those drinks in a heart beat!!! LOL
@cashew We can make jokes about it but in actual fact - be glad its not Parkinsons! My mother had that but I understand its not inherited. I don't take medication as I have kept it to myself including my doctor. What does a few peas on the floor matter - you and I have the humour to carry it off!
@maggiemae NO Parkinson's Disease isn't inherited, but the essential tremors are. Where I got mine, no one in either family knows, but I did pass it on to my daughter. This passing it on crap is for the birds, but she and I have some hysterical laughs when we get together. We go out and dine on purpose and use forks!!!! ROFL!!!

and I love your wine philosophy
