Framed..

The End of the Alps to Ocean Bike Trail. This frame was unveiled today at 9am by our great Mayor who designed and got this built! I went down (about coffee time) and when I brought my camera out, these guys asked for a photo! Who would not oblige!

Apologies to my 365 FB friends who have seen a similar photo today there. It was the only photo I took this day except for the one that John took of me in this frame (not acceptable here to me)
Three good things:
1. The team here do another bike trail every year! The average age, I would say would be in the ‘70s! Its all organised including accommodation and meals but not the weather! They live in Auckland.
2. This Frame was the best! It was a mystery until unveiled and had previously bad reviews saying it would be an eyesore etc. However when we were there, there were repeated groups of bicyclists getting their photo taken!
2. I made dinner tonight - chicken, roast herb potatoes, fresh corn and crunchy salad!
Great shot and fantastic frame!
Hope you ate some of that delicious dinner you made and are feeling better!

Great shot, they all look like they are having a fun time. I like the frame, you could get a great 'framed' photo without the cyclists.

@shirleybankfarm Thats what I originally thought it was meant for - a framed picture of the harbour, Shirley! But not so...

Wonderful composition to yur image! I noticed the age of the cyclists was a little beyond youthful right away! I don't remember getting the invitation to dinner! I am sure it was just an oversight on your part! ;~}

@grammyn Sorry Katy - I thought you would have got my invitation - sent out some weeks ago! Its all very formal and very long dresses are compulsory! You will probably trip over and fall into your Tiramisu Ice-cream Cake!
