Strays by maggiemae

Strays

I might have gone a bit overboard with the ‘tilt shift’ in this shot. It’s two nice wee plants that have established themselves on the edge of the concrete pathway and the lawn.

They are fairly determined and actually have done better than my potted efforts!

Three good things:
1.. Change and the ability to handle that!
2. Bird photography in 365 is SO good1
3. Had a repetitive nightmare once again and was so glad to wake up!
Pretty colours and contrast Maggie. It's a delicate balance this editing lark, I am a great one for over cooking at times too!

Lovely orange plant which looks rather like a nasturtium.

Pretty shot. I find it interesting to figure out what is "natural" and what is "edited" in this image.

@daisymiller Its all natural, Daisy - both plants are growing here beside the concrete path. I just used a specific focus on the nasturtium!

Beautiful image and silmilar to what I will be posting later today. I did NOT use tilt shift for mine.

I like your title which sets a specific emotion up for looking at the red flowers.

Nature can be very determined. Nicely titled and captured.

Strays often do so well in the most surprising places. Now I shall have to look up tilt shift as I'm clueless!

Never heard of tilt shift - will have to Google it.

They are such a lovely bright colour. Sounds like my gardening - never quite what I have planned!

The plants that have to fight for survival always seem stronger than those treated with TLC. Love the orange.

So glad to see nasturtiums, which are a favourite flower of mine. Love their colours, the shape and veining of their leaves, and their beautiful scent, which is like no other.

Pretty little colors- I'd leave them where they are and see how well they spread!

@olivetreeann If John's got hold of the lawn mower he always mows them down!

@ishutter That's another good name for them, Kim - instead of strays!
