There is a lot going on and has gone on with Boston. Tea Party, buns, marathon, the Kennedy family, Longfellow, Edgar Allan Poe…etc There are also statues everywhere - the Irish Famine for example! Heard many Irish accents!
We took a harbour tour to see the great city most of which has been built in the last 50 years.
Three good things:
1. No graffiti seen on our 2 hour tour of the city
2. Saw the outside of the huge and old Game Centre where baseball has a major game tonight! The Red Sox v Baltimore?
3. Meeting lots of people who have NZ in their sights for next year’s journey!
Love Boston. The mix of very old and modern buildings side by side is fabulous. We only lived in the area a year, but sometimes I miss our excursions into Boston.
