This is Clarke Quay by Singapore River where you can catch a ride on a 'bum boat' for $3 and travel up and down. Intend to do this tomorrow It was 35degC here and rather hot - my clothing was not appropriate and I collapsed in the hotel air conditioning in a sweat!
Three good things:
1. Falling asleep during the day isn’t all bad!
2. Interesting documentary on the Plane about DNA, genes, ‘nuture and nature’ and how it accounts for violence, depression and future problems.
3. The EU problems and how it is developing!
i'd love to be asleep during the daytime, especially the last two days, only i'm at work so i couldn't. :-D hot and humid down there, isn't it? just make sure you drink plenty of cold water. this is a rather good shot, and i love all that colours. i must dig my old singapore photos as i'm pretty sure i've been to the clark quay.
We love Clarkes Quay so this is bringing back lots of memories. We haven't been for a while as we go Emirites these days. Stopped in the airport hotel this time so never got out into the town. Lovely colours! Interesting to go up on that big ship balanced on top of the skyscrapers!
Love the colorful street. not too many pedestrian about in the heat. try to keep cool. we often said, an umbrella would be nice to have when the sun beats down on us on the days in port.
